You know, I'm often kind of amazed by how little synergy, to pull out corporate speak, there is between a lot of the partners and a lot of the card companies, right? Like Resy and Amex I think is a really good example of this, of you get the credit, but there's not, like, an elevated multiplier, right? Like, if a Resy restaurant was 6X on the Gold, that would really drive people to use the Resy restaurants.
Or even, like, 3X on the Platinum, right? Like, make it under the Gold, but make it, you know, something where people are gonna wanna do this.
It kind of feels like they want you to use their program, but they don't necessarily want you to, like, really use their program, and maybe they're, you know, tangentially worried about people really hitting those gift cards.
Like, you know, if you did an uncapped 6X on the Gold card for Resy restaurants, they'd have to pull a Hilton and just not have gift cards available for some of them because people would hit them so hard for gift cards.
So I could see it being a system where some of it is probably abuse prevention.
I don't think that's the main part.
I think they're just not...
The credit card companies are really not creative a lot of the time.
Like, they are so boring in the things they'll do, and the, the credits they offer and how they apply those credits, that sometimes I think they just, they don't have the imagination to, to have that level of, you know, compatibility between their, the things they own, their credits, and their multipliers.
I, I'm sort of surprised that they haven't, that they also haven't done, like, an elevated multiplier on Resy with the Gold card.
I mean, the Gold card, the credit is only what? $50 a quarter? Or is it 50 front and 50 back?
It's, it's 50 twice a year.
I think, I do think an elevated multiplier would be more intriguing to get people in.
You've mentioned that there's only, like, one or two Resy restaurants in your area.
