When he lost the competition, the supposed competition, and then, as you mentioned, he didn't just become the backup quarterback.

At that point in time, that was everything I needed to know about how they felt about him.

You got to remember that these organizations, when they say – when KOC comes out the first week of the season and says, Hey, this backup quarterback job, this is a week to week thing.

So you're telling me as a player, if I'm in if I'm in his position, if I'm in JJ McCarthy's position, you're telling me that you trust these other two guys to go out there and play winning football and be productive.

If at this point in time, at this point in his career in year three, you don't trust him yet in the same offense that you've been in for three years, that's concerning.

And you put that into the formula and it's not hard to figure out that he wasn't going to be here for very long.

I understand that he's a young quarterback and I think he just needs some reps and he does need patience.

But we're an organization right now that doesn't have a lot of patience because we are truly building something, I think, on an accelerated level.

And And I don't think that Nolan Teasley, even if JJ comes in and plays in a spot role this year and plays well, you're telling me that Nolan Teasley wants to hitch his wagon to JJ McCarthy, a guy that he didn't even draft and evaluate.

So it's no surprise to me that when Jackson Dart went down and the rumors started getting hot, that the Giants were on his tail and that there were talks and they just couldn't figure out a compensation package.
