The head writer of The Young & the Restless Josh Griffith is OUT! and we are on it.
Many people have expressed the fact that Josh has been burned out.
Keep in mind, he started in 2018-19.
He just celebrated eight.
So, yeah, it's actually eight years.
Eight years this past March.
During the strike, he was still writing.
He had no breakdown writers.
And then, again, it became a whole situation of the hamster wheel, meaning that it was the same scenario, different characters, kind of same outcome.
Yes, ratings went up.
That's a true statement.
Some of you guys may know this.
Some people don't.
Something had to give.
So it wasn't the fact that they weren't paying attention.
They were.
But something still was not right.
Something still didn't feel right.
And again, he made a decision to opt out of one of his roles to focus solely on his writing.
And again, as of today, it was announced that he is no longer going to be a part of the show.
Now, what we do not know is we do not know his final air date as far as material goes and who will take his place.
Some people have already passed around some names, you know, former soap scrub as Ron Calvati.
Some people feel as though they should hire within either James Thomas Brown, pair him up with Amanda Beale, who's still on the writing team, not as the co, but as as one of the writers um some people say that they need to mix it up like they did over general hospitals um but there's you know deeper issues to be addressed as well it's because again as we all know when a new writer comes in or there's a lot of changes and the majority of people have said it today whoever comes in needs to focus on that next generation now with that being said with Josh Griffin.
