April May 2026 Albums Review

April 3rd, we had new releases from Acidosis, Cactus, Chariots Overdrive, Corrosion of Conformity, Dust, Emily, Rock, Basil, Grade 2.

Graveborn, Green Carnation, Jarbo, Latlos, Michael Sweet, Nervosa, Poison Ruin, Relic, Sulo, Sun Don't Shine, Sunno, Toxic Shock, Ultra Bomb, And we had EPs from Exumption.

Well, I guess this is a split between Exumption and Funeral Chant.

Excuse me.

And No Terror in the Bang.

So, Ed, what did you listen to? Okay.

I only have two things for this week.

The first one would be Nervosa.

I'm proud of that band.

I feel like every album gets a little better than the last.

Nervosa is kind of a band that I'm interested to hear a new album, keep it in my iTunes library and hear a song here and there.

But not a band that I listen to a lot.

But I feel like with each album, the production's getting a little better, the songwriting's getting a little better.

And I really feel like I've enjoyed listening to this one better than all the others.

They're on a good path.

I hope they can continue this.

I think they have some member changes from time to time, and who knows, maybe some of that helps with the songwriting.

But whatever she's done on this record...

I think one of the ladies is kind of the main character of the group.

I'm not too sure how the band actually formed and who's in charge or not.

But whatever they're doing, I hope they keep that and build upon it.

The other one, though, wasn't on your list and was a band I was hoping to introduce to everyone back in April, but because of the delay of a couple months here, because of family things going on, everybody has heard of them now.

Okay, I've been practicing my Kentucky tongue.

I've been practicing how to say this because I couldn't do it in the beginning.

So, Angine de Poitrine.
