Hello all, it's Chilly here, standing in for Ash again on the Signalman.
Just give you a little idea of what we've been doing, what ports of call we've had for June, and then tell you what we've got coming up in July.
So, where do we go? June is it.
We went to the Thornbury Sailing Club, which is Aubrey on Severn.
um really lovely club very blowy because obviously you want a blowy club to get the sailing going on um so that was wonderful very supportive they really enjoyed it we really enjoyed them so that was great which led us on to the pistola resistance friday the 12th to sunday the 14th of june oh yes we were at the falmouth international shanty festival performing seven gigs over the three days and um we on the friday we played at the grapes and the in the evening we played at the palacio lounge on the saturday we played at the games room and we did the green bank hotel main stage i And on the evening, we then played at the St. Michael's Resort, which is a fabulous place, really is a lovely hotel.
Some of us stayed there, luckily, which was really nice.
And then on Sunday, Sunday the 14th, midday, we were on the Seasalt main stage.
Two years running, we've done the main stage, and it did not, in any way... do anything other than fantastic fun um great crowd really got them going really enjoyed and it's nice to hear some of the actual um vendors um from around the actual main square who as i said we're a little bit shunted out because there's been a whole weekend of it but you lot were absolutely superb the the entertainment value was brilliant because you're very much different to all the others who played so we thank them hope they had a successful one and see them again next year uh and we ended up at the chain locker which is a again a very nice little pub um great fun great singing um and we really enjoyed it the voices managed to survive which was even better so saturday the 20th that was the following weekend We went to the West Pennard Village Hall, which is just outside of Glastonbury.
And again, what lovely people.
They are so friendly out that end of the world.
They really are.
And we'll do anything to do to support them.
They were discussing that they need to raise funds urgently for their local church.
And we've said we'll support them in any way possible.
So keep a lookout for that one.
It might be next year, start of next year.
But we're going to do a group...
We could do a little concert for them because they deserve it.
And it's a beautiful church, very old, some wonderful stained glass windows in it as well.
And then we ended up on the Wednesday the 24th, the Feast of St. John at the Aqua on Welshback, which is an Italian restaurant, air-conditioned.
What great fun that was.
Some wonderful people we sang to.
Some great old boys.
And they had a little collection for us.
