What are your thoughts on how it is already almost August? Like this week it's August? Yeah.

First of all, does it feel like it to you? And two, are you excited about training camp starting or are you a little bit indifferent this year?

The heat, the heat reminds me every year because I remember all my double days, all my hell weeks of, you know, having to do two days in the heat and just how brutal that was.

And I had a patient come in the other day talking about, oh yeah, we start pads next week.

And okay, what are we doing to prepare? And, Oh, I've been wearing, he's a freshman.

Cause that's the worst thing, you know, coming first day of practice that week, your head is so your neck muscles are so, you know, raw and tore up just from the weight of that helmet.

Cause usually I tell my patients that I know are coming up with that to start wearing their helmet like a week or two before around the house, just to, get that part out of the way before they...

Yeah, yeah, because little necks, big head, and this is like a bobble head, and then you take a couple licks, you know, especially if you...

And what we're seeing a lot of, like, I played, you know, all the way through when I was little, but nowadays...

What they're doing is a lot of the kids are playing flag football all the way through until the ninth grade.

And then ninth grade is their first contact season, which is crazy, at least around here.

So, yeah, so for a lot of these freshmen, it's the first time they one ever wore a helmet or pads.
