Yeah, we probably should have seen more hands up than that, right? Who's happy that Christ is the head of the body? Amen.

Isn't that such a bizarre thing that he called us that you are actually the body? Did you know that we, the church, are the governing body of the new creation? We are the governing body that he left here for his kingdom to rule and reign because the kingdom of God has begun.

The rule and reign of Christ has begun and we are the body who are actually responsible to govern how that happens.

That's a lot of pressure, isn't it? That's a lot of pressure, isn't it? Who's seen the news recently, or maybe for a long time, and you've looked at politics and you've thought, wow, there is disunity in all politics, in every nation.

by applying the cross to our lives every single day and implying it in such a way that it makes the world look in and say, hey, there's something going on at Seacoast.

And I've only just experienced this a few times in the last couple of weeks where I've been with friends who aren't walking with the Lord and they're having problems and I'm just thinking these problems are rattling you so much.

You're so rattled by this problem because you have no security in anything else.

But our security... is in the cross, isn't it? It's in the death and in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

That makes us so much more secure, doesn't it? When something financial happens, you go, well, actually, God is my provider.

Just that tiny little piece of information, that tiny little bit of comfort that we receive is the very thing that the world needs.

to actually be able to be like, oh my goodness, I just need to trust in God.

The very God who gave me this next breath I'm just about to take does love me.
