So, um, this month, um, unfortunately that we are starting to see like a, a season uptick in the, most of the, uh, pathogens that have been monitored through SDRS, uh, specifically PED.
So we've seen that PED after a period, uh, of lower activity, uh, in the summer.
So we started to seeing that, um, the activity has increased, uh, toward the, the end of August, and that pattern's continue, uh, into September, especially in, in the, uh, winter market size.
And the PED activity is currently like outside the expected range and at the state level monitoring we are seeing that, uh, Missouri showing, uh, the positivity above, uh, baseline levels.
And as for, uh, Mycoplasma hyopneumonia, we're seeing that, uh, activity increase for the second consecutive months, uh, in both, uh, categories and also reaching the highest levels, uh, in 2026 so far.
However, the activity still, um, remain, uh, the expected range in baseline levels for, uh, 11 monitor states.
Uh, as for influenza A virus, uh, we're also seeing the slight increase, uh, in both, um, production phases.
However, compared to, uh, the same period over the last, um, decade, we've seen that the activity of, um, influenza A virus in September 2026 is still remains the lowest September we, uh, we ever seen.

It's a lot of activity there in the, in, in grow finish, uh, at least, and PED on the rise.

We're going to talk more about that in a bit, but before that, how about PRRS?
So, uh, PRRS, uh, we're seeing that the higher, um, detection in winter market for the second month, and this month we're also seeing the first detection of the variant 1c.2.44 in Illinois.
So we did mention about Salmonella last, uh, month, yeah, with the several alarms, uh, of detection in July, and we're seeing another alarm in August, so this is something that we will continue, uh, monitoring.

Uh, Wynn is a graduate student here working with the SDRS, and I always like to see her picks here for, for what, what's off the, the, the trends, right? And w- with that, we're going to pick up back on, uh, on PED, and Paul, we're starting with you.
Thanks, Dr. Linhares.
