Moksha Medicine - Swami Vedarupananda

[prays] Om asato ma sad gamaya tamaso ma jyotir gamaya mrtyor ma amrtam gamaya.

Avir havir maye dhi rudra yathe daksinam mukha tena mam pahimityam.

Om, lead us from the unreal to the real.

Lead us from darkness unto light.

Lead us from death to immortality, and reach us through and through ourselves, and evermore protect us from ignorance by thy sweet, compassionate face.

So my subject this morning is Moksha Medicine, and I take my title from the last novel that was written by Aldous Huxley, entitled "The Island." And it opens as a journalist is shipwrecked on an idyllic island in the South Seas.

And, uh, well, it's just a model of sustainability.

It's all trees are growing, there are fruits and nuts on the trees, and there's fish in the ocean.

And, uh, everyone there, they don't...

They're, they're supported and maintained by the AIs.

The AI, AIs do everything.

And they provide all their food, and their cars, and their clothes.

Whatever is necessary is just replicated.

And so the inhabitants are free to pursue aesthetic pursuits and their own personal growths.

And there's no crime, and there's no war, and there's no, uh, social unrest.
