Thinking about that situation, I found it interesting how we can be so caught up in something that we actually do not take into account what's happening around us.

And I would actually want to submit in a lot of ways we do that with our imaginations, right? Whether you're a Christian, atheist, agnostic from another faith, you were dragged here, or you stumbled in here, you've probably experienced that too.

See, the people that laugh, they know it's the truth, right? Like, also, you're thinking about the money you're gonna make when you're promoted before you even get an interview.

Right? Like, there's so many times we have our imagination and it runs and runs, but interestingly enough, those imaginations become expectations.

And then surely enough, what we think ought to happen collides with the tree of reality.

It's a difficult situation to find ourselves in because that creates a kind of misalignment.

And in thinking about that, I would actually submit the greatest danger to our thought life is not simply thinking the wrong thoughts.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been wrestling through a number of topics in a series called Ordinary Holy.

It's been a wonderful series, right? Give a clap for everyone that has shared.

And what's been guiding this series has been the passage, 1 Corinthians 10, 31.

And we're trying to wrestle out what does it mean to live our lives to the glory of God, not just on Sunday morning when the music is banging, the voices are good, the smoke machine's pumping, but also on Thursday night or Monday morning or Saturday when you're cleaning your house.

And we want to figure out what does it mean to glorify God in our thought life when our images hit reality.
