So if you think about what you've got as stores, you've got your glycogen stores, you've got how much fat you can burn, and then you're limited then by the calories you can take in.

So if you can't eat, there's a pace that you can go, which is literally like slow walking pace if you run out of your glycogen stores.

So looking at it, there was this massive Excel spreadsheet because I needed to take in so much fuel and I didn't have people meeting me for the first 16 hours because hubby was with the kids.

So I was going to go to checkpoints every few miles and I had this like thing come up.

How many calories do I have to eat of the food from this checkpoint? French checkpoints, they're not great.

So in the UK, people do ultras because it's like, imagine like, a kids party you've got loads of jam sandwiches you've got like cakes you've got biscuits you've got crisps it's amazing Haribo loads of Haribo brunch there's some like dry biscuits and some cheese and like some snack bars and it's like right I've got to eat this but the fluids are really important for the supply and I nearly killed myself in a race in Cambodia because I went to a coma because I drank too much water without the electrolytes so I've literally got like a spreadsheet like how much am I drinking and therefore how much salt am I taking alongside that so this is where your brain goes is you think it's kind of like really bored but you're managing all of that at the same time as you're Going up and down the mountains.
Like, we can go into that, like, later, but you learnt from that experience to now, to now when you're in races, you're like, OK, well, actually, I don't just need water.
