it's crazy so um I went to a local bookstore this uh now two Saturdays ago one Saturday ago I don't know time is moving in strange ways right now.
I'm not a hundred percent sure.
And I, there was only like a very small chance of rain, like less than 30% chance of rain.
You don't think of it as being the desert because of snow, but it is the high desert.
And so the summer really hot, really dry.
And every single day it says 30% chance of rain.
And it, it never rains like, cause the, you know, If you go back to your geography classes, it gets caught by the mountains.
And so then the mountains stop the rain and it doesn't rain.
And so like literally every day of the summer, there's a 30 percent chance of rain.
So nobody really thinks it's going to rain.
But we're all like, OK, well, there's a small chance we'll put up our little canopies just in case, you know, and if it does rain, it'll be a sprinkle.
But this way it'll protect the books.
That is all that's in the forecast.
And we had been talking with the bookstore all week because there was like four or five vendors.
It was like a little mini not like there was only like me and one other author and then a couple of other vendors.
And so they were just doing like this fun little pop up on a random Saturday.
And I get everything set up.
And you know, it's fine.
I talked to one reader.
So I get like one sort of pitch out.
Then all of a sudden, the wind starts to pick up and it starts to rain a little bit.
And I'm like, huh, okay, you know, I'm just gonna I'm just gonna take my my little banners down because I don't want them to get ruined.
You know, I don't want it to don't want it to be wet.
And so I go and I'm like, of course, I'm very short.
