Welcome to another episode of Before the Box Score! Today, Nate and Nathan break down Mizzou's commanding win over the Texas A&M Aggies. The Tigers continue their climb up the SEC standings and Top-25…
Just the way that they played on both sides of the ball, the way that Texas A&M's offense looked completely helpless at all times.
Like, Missouri was, had to resort to just running the ball every play except for one in the second half because they just couldn't throw the ball.
They could not generate the explosives through the air that I thought that they needed to win the game.
Oh, except for, like, that one that went [laughs] 54 yards and a handful of 14s.
Like, it was not a pretty offensive game, and yet still I was, like, checking my watch going, "Okay, when are we done? Can we just sim to the end?" Because A&M didn't pose a threat, and I can't believe I'm saying that in 2026.
I mean, it's, uh, this is a really kind of exactly what [laughs] Mizzou fans went through last year.
I could also think back to a couple other years, 2015 for example, when you have a very good defense and you still don't have a chance.
Really from the point where, uh, uh, they get the turnover, um, the ki- the deflection pass off Austin Simmons, uh, in the red zone already basically, come down and then turn it right back over, uh, themselves.
