What are the significant differences between Shacharit on Rosh Hashanah and a regular shabbos or yom tov? (recorded 9/2/2026)

Um, this is something that I haven't done before, which is, um, talking about the Rosh Hashana davening.

Um, davening is something in that, uh, generally I haven't really spent as much time teaching about, or to tell you the truth, studying as much as maybe I should.

But in the last year, um, uh, I've had a number of conversations and personal experiences, um, but conversations with people like Batya, um, that, that, uh, and maybe it's worth it to spend a little more time thinking about, um, our liturgy and, um, and hopefully over the course of the next year we'll do more, but might as well start with, with those things that are, um, yeah, relevant, which is the Rosh Hashana davening.

And so hopefully the, the goal, the goal is for this week, it, there's a two, a three-part series.

This week and next week we'll talk about different parts of the Rosh Hashana davening.

Um, and also, and the following week we'll talk about Yom, Yom Kippur, Yom Kippur.
