It's a mistake that a lot of people make.

I often would watch our public officials go to the Western Wall in Israel.

Finally, a moment of communal reflection as Rosh Hashanah approaches.

Over 50,000 people participated in central Selichot prayers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem last night.

Since the beginning of the month of Elul, the Western Wall has welcomed approximately one million worshippers for these repentance prayers.

Seeing is believing, they say, right? So it's like somebody could talk about Israel from today to tomorrow.

Let's say it's like they just came back from a trip to Israel and they're talking about the Wailing Wall and they're talking about uh the shuk ben yahudah and you know all kinds of different things that they saw the negev all that stuff if they're saying it to somebody who's never been to israel before who's never experienced israel it's like they might appreciate that the other person had this amazing experience and they might be able to like really be intrigued and want to learn more but they're not going to really get that same sense of israel as the person who actually saw israel right or again you describe a person you tell them what they look like how tall they are whatever It's like, if you just show them a picture of the person, they're going to get a lot more of like, this is the person, this is who they are.

We can even, not even just like on a purely superficial level, sometimes you look at a person and you can get a sense of them.

Is this somebody who has kind eyes? Is this somebody who looks more severe? That kind of stuff.
