[gentle music] What I discovered is that after 100 days and nights a year living in the woods without any accoutrement other than a pair of binocs, a map, and a shortwave radio that got me in contact with a ranger station twice a day, it really put my head into the wild.

And one day, I had my horn [laughs] with me up there, my trumpet, and I was playing just some jazz riffs, and a turkey started to gobble, and a little while later, a coyote got into it.

And so we were playing sort of a jazz sonata for wildlife out there in the boondocks, and boy, it was fun.

I just realized that every time I sit outside, I'm sitting out there with my cousins, and it's such a good feeling.
