Remember The Game? #384 - Bioshock Infinite

It is our opening segment here on the show.

I read a few comments and questions from our patrons, usually gaming-related, but not always, and we call this segment Blowing in the Cartridge.

Let's blow.

Our first blower this week is Donnie the Dude Walter, who says, "Yo, how many ascensions you got in Slay the Spire II? Sincerely your friend, Donnie." Uh, shout-out to Slay the Spire II.

It's actually funny you ask that, 'cause on the August 20th episode of Expansion Pass, we talked about the fall video game schedule, and we're talking about just how insane 2026 has been for video games, and obviously one of the many, many g- I think I've played 15 releases this year, and there's 17 more I want to and know I won't be able to get to.

One of those 15 is Slay the Spire II.

I'm ashamed that I'm not further in it than I want to be.

Everybody knows it's the unofficial official game of Remember the Game Industries.

I love Slay the Spire.

I just haven't had a ton of time to play it.

Uh, with the Ironclad I'm at Ascension Level 5, and then with three of the other, with the, uh, the Silent, the Defect, and the, fuck, what are the new ones? The one where you control the hand, the Necro, whatever.

Uh, with those ones I think I'm all at level two.

I have yet to win a game with the one where you use the sword, where you can summon that sword.

I have not, I haven't played as that one a lot.

I don't like that character very much.

I have not won a game yet.

I am, I am a disgrace to the Slay the Spires everywhere.

So I, I need...

It's one of those games, like, I don't even think I'm gonna do a review episode of it, 'cause it's just Slay the Spire 1 but bigger and better.

It's got a new hat.
