Today, we're dismantling one of the most quietly corrosive lies that happens in the spiritual and personal growth space.

And the lie is this, that there's a finish line that you have to cross, and everyone but you has already crossed it.

This version of a rival that we're often sold puts us in a space of wanting something that we don't have that we believe someone else has.

And we have to look really carefully at who sells this to us and what it costs us on our journey to believe this corrosive lie.

Because of the advent of social media and because of the advent of the highlight reel, this is becoming not just a social media problem or a cultural problem, but it is also a spiritual one.

Because our nervous systems are measuring ourselves against other people before we've even started.

It's measuring our behind the scenes against someone else's curated front, their curated highlight reel.

And I always have this in mind when I'm putting out content of How do I speak my truth? How do I say what I need to say and help other people on the journey without making them feel less than or without being dishonest about how much work goes into it? Because for every outcome that somebody has, for every great big milestone, there has been an almost immeasurable amount of work that goes on under the hood, under in the subconscious, behind the scenes and in the everyday moments of their life.

I actually think this could be a really harmful rhetoric is showing other women that they have to move fast in order to achieve something.

And that if they don't move at that speed, they are too late or too slow or too much of a beginner.

There has been wise sages and wisdom keepers and priestesses and prophetesses and all of these amazing spiritual leaders and ancestors and wisdom keepers and councils of elders for, I mean, since forever.

However, just because we want to gain insight and wisdom doesn't mean we need to devalue the journey of getting there.

When we talk about this, when we are sold this energy of just show up and it will all work out really quickly.

It discounts the things that happen to be able to hold the capacity to have the vision and to put it into practice to actually receive this.
