A story about book tour related injuries with Rachel and Jacquie

So what else has been going on in your life, Rachel? I have noticed you have been quite busy out there.

Yes, it's been insane.

Launching your new Friday Barnes book.

And might I say, listeners, knocking it out of the park.

So I could not be more proud of my dear friend, Rachel, who has...

Yeah, just been doing so well.

Smashing the sales figures.

I'm proud of Friday, Friday and her friends.

I like to think of them as separate entities that I just happen to have some connection with and I get the credit for the stuff they do.

But yeah, it's been huge.

I've loved it.

I've been planning this all year because I've had three books come out this year.

I had the Romeo and Juliet book and then the epically awesome Odyssey and then Friday Barnes.

These are like my 35th, 36th and 37th books.

I knew what was going to happen.

I knew the Romeo and Juliet would not be a huge popular hit but would be a slow burn and it would be popular with teachers but actually would do better with kids than you thought.

And then I knew the Odyssey would get a huge boost from the movie but the print is too small in the book and it would because there was this stuff up with the layout.

But I knew Friday Barnes was going to be huge because it's like 15 months, 18 months since the last one.

I've been getting so much mail.

I knew it was going to be huge.

I've been planning the events since late last year.

Do

you get like love mail but it's also kind of thinly veiled as hate mail because you're taking too long?

Oh, it's

not.
