On today's ***Daily Puck Drop***, ***Jason "Puck" Puckett*** opens the show with headlines around sports, including comments from Ray Roberts on the Seahawks running game and Jim Moore on Old Crimson…
Mike GarafoloGuestMitch LevyGuestAll right, we get you caught up on all the top storylines here, there in the world of sports and non-sports.
Seahawks running back situation, obviously, is one of the biggest topics, I think, heading into the weekend, and certainly one of the biggest topics as the season progresses there for Seattle with the injury there to Jerrion Price.
So obviously they go with Emmanuel Wilson this weekend against the 49ers, followed by George Helani.
They just recently signed Robert Henry Jr. They're off the practice squad for the Commanders.
I mean, I'm concerned about the long-term stuff with price and tell otherwise, but that's just me because I'm a worrier.
It does give some encouraging outlook on what prices, how long he could be out for.
Ray Roberts on yesterday's Daily Puck Drop discussing the current running back situation.
Well, I think you've got to kind of recalibrate what you think the running game is going to look like as far as explosives.
So, first of all, you're going to look at K-9 and go like, gosh, dang it, we could have K-9.
Oh, my gosh.
But it's a totally different offense and system and all this other kind of stuff.
And, you know, you got to play the long game.
And then you don't have Jadarian Price, you know, with his breakaway speed.
So the explosive play will be, you know, turning a three-yard gain into like a six or seven-yard gain, turning a six or seven-yard gain into eight or nine-yard gain, converting third downs in the run game.
It's kind of, it's more of a grind it out.
Like even last year, they called it the softening process.
So they knew that like there was going to be times when they're only going to get two or three yards.
The thing with this running game is that Wilson has to run between the tackles.
He's not a stretch it to the outside type of dude.
