Who or what is occupying your mind? Who keeps getting access to your thoughts, emotions? And I'm even going to stretch your thinking a bit today, our energy.

And if our mind had a front door, would everyone who knocked be allowed inside? Take a moment to really think about those questions.

Have you ever been on vacation and seen a no vacancy sign? You know what I'm talking about? The ones that are like lit up or even ones that are painted.

Just take a moment to think about those questions because for many of us, vacancy and no vacancy, especially for those of us who've experienced trauma, the answer to those questions aren't always something that we've consciously chosen.

And sometimes what comes in is another person's voice, and it becomes louder than our own.

And before we know it, our minds become crowded with things like thoughts, beliefs, emotions.

Somehow, years later, decades later, a memory pops up and we think, what was that from? Today I want to explore two simple words that have been sitting with me lately.

and the things that our minds hold the same way? What if we did? What if every criticism,

every worry, every trauma memory, every, every toxic relationship, every what if, every explanation, every expectation, an explanation that maybe wasn't even true.

Every fear, every one of those things that knocked on the front door of our minds, do they always get a room? They're asking for room.
