yeah neither neither does it surprise me uh so this study was trying to quantify whether these could be detected with hypertrophy signal pathways and we'll get into how they how they tested that uh as well as global strength deficits and by global i mean one rm uh single leg press testing and training.

So effectively, they took this group of 12 participants, very wide range post ACL injury, and they looked at muscle volume through MRI scans.

They took muscle biopsies before and after an exhaustive or relatively strenuous leg press exercise intervention.

And then they looked at the biopsy signal pathways for both the resting and the post exercise.

And effectively what they found were that there were still muscle volume deficits, specifically in the vastus lateralis and the rec fem, right? Those were the, it was kind of full volume.

Full volume of the quadriceps, specifically rec fem and vastus lateralis, not significantly of the other two quad muscles.
