Okay.
You used to be a police officer.
It's well known on the podcast.
Yep.
You were like a street cop.
You weren't exactly a captain.
I was the best cop around.
She was the best cop in St. Louis.
Some might say.
Some might say.
They still say it.
If you were a police captain and one of your detectives was openly suicidal, drinking on the job, and showing absolutely no regard for human life, what would be your take on that? What would you
do? I think you'd have to be suspended at some point.
Maybe just openly doing cocaine and a drug buy also is not the best use of your time on the
force.
That was like smoking a cigarette back then, though.
Well, apparently what Joe said is more than what Martin Riggs received because this guy is suicidal, drinks on the job, shoots everything in sight.
Dude, how about- And he's still the best cop in LA.
Yeah, and that captain goes, when the psychiatrist is talking to him, that captain's like, he's a tough bastard, all right? That's like they wipe away all the other thing because he's tough.
So the way that they remedy this is they're like, I know, let's partner him with a guy that's 50 on the verge of retirement with a wife and three kids.
Three kids or four kids? I can't remember.
Three.
I think it's three.
Overall, he's just too old for this shit.
