That's gonna be the thing, when you run out of fucking bullets.

Then it'll be swords and just clubs, and it's g- it's gonna become fucking Braveheart.

You know? But not if we were all like Fred Rogers.

He'd be just sitting there in the middle of it.

We had no clue what it was until we saw about 500 to 1,000 Northern Alliance soldiers charging up the ridgeline.

I called it a Braveheart charge.

What the Northern Alliance didn't realize was that the route leading up to the ridgeline was heavily mined.

The Northern Alliance did not fare too well.

That's different.

Hey, they're like Braveheart.

Like, I remember my first Oscar race was the year before because, you know, I was I was younger, you know, and like junior high and my siblings were younger than me.

But I thought it was so cool that Braveheart and Babe were nominated for the same award.

Like, like how, how cool is that? You know? So that was my first like, Oh no, I want to watch the Oscars.

Cause this is like, you know, the war movie and the talking pig movie, like, you know, and it's just like, so then, but Mike, but Sequence and Lies the next year, sorry, I'm going to start with this, reminding me of like, you know, English patient was big in scope, but then they can also nominate something a little kind of smaller and quieter and more poignant and still kind of devastating that kind of hit.

As we look through this book of Acts, I don't want us to think about it being a story about another group of people who are completely separate from us, who may be extraordinarily gifted and who we've got no connection to.

I want us to think as we look through the story of Acts that we're looking in a way in the mirror, or a family photograph of someone that we're related to.

This is part of our story, and it can be part of our reality now as we look and as we delve into it.

So we're going to look at the story, at what we see the early church explore, at how we see them rely on the Holy Spirit in a way which enabled them to do things and be witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus in ways that I think they probably never dreamed they would be.

So we're looking at this gift that the early church has been promised.

And I don't know if you've ever received a particularly good gift.

I remember when I was training to be a primary school teacher that someone told me about this gift or this experience that happened in their school.

I lived with a guy called Toby in my second and third years and his mum was a TA in a school in Guildford.

I couldn't get a loan at that age.

I feel like if that existed today, you would walk in and pick up, like, whatever, Braveheart, and there would be a QR code.

What? Like, no, man.

And in Detroit, they're arguably one of their best players, or not even arguably, one of their best players and their captain.

So if you're Bill Guerin right now, in my opinion, if you're the Wild, it's the Braveheart line.

It's just hold.

because at some point Detroit's the team that's got to make the move before it gets to the point where the noise is too loud, right? If he's not reporting, if he's not showing up, if he's, I can't remember the last NHL player that held out like this could be headed towards.

And in Detroit, they're arguably one of their best players, or not even arguably, one of their best players and their captain.
