Chopin, Andy and Paddy sit down to talk about the upcoming release of the Around The World In A Day Deluxe edition. We discuss the initial fan reaction to it not getting the full SDE treatment, some…
And yeah, first of all, we've already got for the 4th of July, we had the remastered 20 minute version of America.
Guys, have you heard them yet?
Yes, I particularly like the sound of the Paisley Park remix, which has made me very excited about the aspects of the release that we are getting.
I'm with Paddy.
I thought the Paisley Park Remix remaster sounded and sounds terrific with just lovely, lovely separation on all of those weird sound effects and vocal ticks and laughs and stuff that come in and out of the track at the start and the end.
It's lovely.
Am I the only one hearing details I haven't heard before? You are not,
sir.
Yeah.
Like the America 21-minute version, I don't know, some people might find it too long.
For me, I absolutely love it.
And I've been listening to it quite a bit anyway, and I was already really happy with how it was sounding.
I think it's funny.
It's a beautiful song.
I mean, it always was.
But it's one of the songs that's been elevated since Prince's passing because it stands for so much philosophically for him.
And obviously it was, you know, it wasn't just a song.
It became... kind of way of life and it became Paisley Park as in his studio stroke playground stroke residence stroke life I think the remix I always liked it, but it was always like it never sounded as 3d and full and shining as it does now and now I am Love it.
I think it really, really just sounds so fresh in 2025, and it's kind of like a real needed breath of fresh air at the moment, for me at least.
It's as if it's just jumped off the page, in a way.
It really does sound...
I know what you mean.
