Um, and so I think that one thing that I love about our show, um, and, and [laughs] to be clear, it is something that we do enjoy doing, is that I think sometimes by res- removing the mystique on a song like, you know, the example I use is Let's Go Crazy by Prince, is that, hey, when you listen to the stems and you, you know, hear some of the story about how it got made and some of the ideas that were rejected, you realize that as genius as Prince is, there may be something inside of you that can, you know, begin to approach this greatness in the sense that like-

Yeah

... you know, nothing arrives perfect, that you have to like work to get there.

They are fully launching it.

So that night they played a mashup of Let's Go Crazy by Prince and Big River, which sounds awesome.

Yeah, that is awesome.

Yo, it's been a minute since we've seen Prince on the Feel Good flashback track of the day.

It has been, and we're gonna take you back to 1984, apparently, and it's Let's Go Crazy, Marie, huh? Ooh, ooh, ooh.

Tanya from Flatbush, and she writes, I went to the Prince tribute block party in Fort Greene after he passed.

Everyone was dressed in purple, dancing in the street.

Corvette in 1999 like he was established as a musician but and this this movie like if you haven't seen it I'm sure most people have but if you haven't seen it it's about him I mean he plays the kid I think is he doesn't play Prince but this guy that's in the Minneapolis music scene and trying to come up and make a name for himself and just the songs in it like let's go crazy and you know oh my when doves cry like doves cry it was like huge right and so obviously this this this makes the list i'm assuming it's on your list as well

I'll yeah, it definitely makes my list.

And again, when you and I did our top favorite Prince songs, I think we both picked Let's Go Crazy as our number one.

And this I mean, this is the album it's from.

But when doves cry, you can't under under appreciate how good the song was, how big the song was, how big commercially it was everywhere.

It keeps going.

And what we, me, I should say me, what I didn't know and notice, and when I was dancing at the Democratic National Convention, too, when they did Tim Walz's State of Minnesota and played Prince, Let's Go Crazy.

I mean, I was like, everybody is on this.

This is fabulous.

And Prince basically looked at the weather and decided it was gonna become part of the show.

He opened with Let's Go Crazy and moved through a set that included Prince classics as well as covers, including All Along the Watchtower and Best of You.

And then came Purple Rain.

And just imagine being in that stadium with tens of thousands of people, watching one of the greatest performers of all time play Purple Rain while actual rain is pouring down around him.

Okay, most annoying noise at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The skull chant, the horn, the Led Zeppelin song, or the Prince Let's Go Crazy when they score?

I think it's the horn for me.

Okay.

But I think that's the audio element that really, like, you know, juices up the fan base and gets them going, especially at the very beginning of the game.

You know, the first third down for the opposing offense, you know, that kind of stuff.

And then when they get their offense going and then you get the Prince music with the let's go crazy when they score and all that.
