Um, it's a little bit of a theme, because on my parenting newsletter, which I do on the platform Substack-
I've had a few messages from parents of 20-somethings, emerging adults as we call them, um, and they say that their young people seem to be quite lonely too.

Yeah, I think it's something we've talked about before, isn't it? Both in terms of our generation and our young people, our young adults, because all that change, the transitions, um, the responsibility of midlife, it can feel really overwhelming, which I think the 20-something coming out of university, trying to estab yourself as, establish yourself in a kind of grown-up, what's your grown-up life gonna look like, I think that can make you feel a bit lost.

She said, "Does anyone else feel just such crushing loneliness some days? It's not even like I'm alone.

And I come from a small family, and my dad passed away, and my mum and brother live miles away.

And in my own time, I feel a crushing sense of loneliness that's very difficult to carry.

What can I do to help myself feel better?" That's like, it makes me feel sad listening to that.
And there were lots of amazing comments and, and women saying they felt the same.
