Yeah.
One thing I wanted to follow up on, how long were you in New York? Almost three years.
Three years.
Okay.
One thing in my life that has been very pivotal is travel and just seeing, I grew up where everyone was believing the same way.
We are the majority of the population believe the same way as me.
And so it was very normal to assume that this was the right way and the only way.
And not really question that.
When I got out and started traveling a lot more and meeting people from all over the country, all over the world, different walks of life, working closely with people who didn't grow up in the same state or country as me, I started to realize there's a lot more ways to think and believe.
And so that was one thing that also kind of opened my aperture for maybe I don't know everything, maybe my certainty that I had in this belief isn't so certain.
Mm-hmm.
I feel like the things that I've said mostly have covered it, but I still did try to be that example, especially to like non-members.
Like that's where it really stood out still was like, if I talked to people at work or, you know, just met people and somehow it came up that I was a member of the church or that I was from Utah, like that usually was a pretty easy connection to like, Oh church, are you Mormon kind of conversation? Um, so like I had a lot of those conversations and, you know, like talking about the church and, uh, very much still try to be a good example and portray the church in a positive light.
And like even still had some of the difficult conversations with people of like them bringing up, uh, you know, polygamy or just things that they had heard about the church and still kind of defending or being that missionary.
Um, and you know, like we were definitely involved with the missionaries too, uh, like going out on splits or having them over or, um, like befriending investigators at church.
Okay.
So you're both still acting the defender and growing in empathy and maybe understanding of other people.
Yeah.
