When we were talking earlier, you know, you've made a wonderful career.

For lack of a better term, a sidekick.

Like, you epitomized that sidekick, which is kind of a plus-one thing in itself.

And Jen has sort of had to meander and make her way in your world.

while she's very, very, you know, sort of grounded in her personal, yeah, and her personal life and career.

So it's pretty interesting that now she is kind of in the role of plus one.

Yeah.

Being Conan's sidekick has given me an appreciation for what it's like to be.

And I, I mean, and I will joke and I will refer to myself as his TV wife.

Um, and I started to really understand when we would go and do things, especially sort of show busy, you know, red carpety things and people would talk to him.

And I might as well have been a floor lamp, uh, just kind of ignored me or if I said something kind of looking past me.

And I never got, you know, like, how dare they? I always thought it was kind of funny.

But it definitely gave me an appreciation for what it's like to be the plus one, the spouse of the famous person, the extra person there.

So I've always been sensitive to that.

And I always...

I have tried to make sure that my partner doesn't get ignored when we're in situations like that because it happens all the time

where

people just, without any awareness, just ignore the person that you're there with.

If you were to introduce Jen at a Her Lifetime Achievement Award, how would you introduce her?

I would say amazingly strong, directed, entrepreneurial Latina who is funny and silly and loving and just a wonderful person.

But also too, just like she is like, she's such a grownup compared to me.

And it's one of the things, another aspect of us getting together was feeling like And I've told her this.

I realize, like, she does not need me.

She has a full plate.

She's got a house that she owns.
