Playmaker’s Corner Episode 519: Saylor Swanson, Sara Walker, and Ariana Akey Film Breakdowns

Let's start with Sailor Swanson.

So I have the most film, I mean college film, on her.

Because Sarah Walker, we'll talk about that later, did not get to play her freshman year.

Even though she was on the roster.

Then obviously Ariana Aki was in high school this past season.

So there's that.

And so...

I have three college games from Sailor Swanson that I was able to look back at and really break down and you know for those of you at home if you want to watch some of this film Reinhardt Athletics go ahead and look them up they hosted Wingate, Ottawa, and Kaiser and then those three teams all played each other and so sailor swanson was the quarterback for wingate university that's a new or was a new d2 school down in the conference carolinas um coached by our guy joe schlager over there and you know she headed up a team that was very talented uh but these were their first couple games uh technically listed as exhibition games for wingate but if you look at ottawa kaiser and reinhardt's website I mean, they're all games that are listed officially as games that they attributed to their official record.

So I am counting those as games.

I was also able to get stats from those as well.

But, you know, Saylor would start in these games.

These were her first college starts here against Ottawa, the defending national champions, Kaiser, the runner-ups in a perennial powerhouse.

And then you have Reinhardt, which, you know, is a team that...

I mean, influx, right? But definitely a lot of talent over there.

Their whole roster is made up of Georgia players.

They are very deep.

And so it's not like they don't have athletes over there either.

And so this was not going to be easy.

But if anything, this was going to show us what Taylor Swanson was made up of.

And so I'm going to talk about this college breakdown first and just break down those three games.

And then we'll go to the high school stats and film and all that stuff as well as we approach the end.

But you know what? Let's go ahead and start with the Reinhardt breakdown.

I think that was...

The first team they played here, and this whole game really wasn't that close.

On drive one, they started near midfield, and Taylor Swanson finds fellow Colorado player Addie Cadwell from Ralston Valley right up the seam, and she was just wide open.
