The Fury Mermaid

Before we get into the meat of this episode, let's discuss semantics real quick.

For the purpose of this episode, I will be using the term quote-unquote Fury Mermaid or quote-unquote Rager Mermaid, but I'll more so use the word Fury because I like the sound of that better.

But please do not confuse this type of mermaid, the mermaid that I'm labeling Fury Mermaid, with the Furies of Greek myth and lore.

Do not confuse the two.

They do not equate.

They are not the same.

The Greek Furies are ancient goddesses of vengeance and they do not have relation to the type of spirit that I will be discussing today.

To make sure there is no confusion, I will always put the title mermaid after saying theory.

So I will always say theory mermaids.

I might even say sea theories, but I think just to not confuse anybody, I'll just say theory mermaid.

Basically what I'm saying is I will always make the distinction.

When it comes to the term quote unquote Fury Mermaid or even quote unquote Rager Mermaid, know that this is a term that I personally came up with to describe the particular type of mermaid that I will be discussing today.

Do not think that you can then go and Google the term Fury Mermaid or Rager Mermaid to find some information, check my receipts, etc.

Y'all know I always encourage y'all to do your own research and scholarship, but you're not going to get anywhere by researching the term quote-unquote Fury Mermaid or Rager Mermaid.

Again, these are terms that I came up with and got approval to use via my chi and other merfolk to utilize in order to describe this type of mermaid spirit that we will be discussing today.

This is not necessarily what they themselves, they being the merfolk, would refer to themselves as.

This is just what I am using in order to teach y'all because we are human and I am using colonizer language, English.

So we got to make it do how we can.

And this is a term that my chi and the other merfolk have given me to use for the time being.

So that is what I'm doing.

Now, you may be wondering, how can you engage in your own research to learn more about Fury merfolk? Because though I will talk about a lot today, I can't cover everything.

The answer is simple.

Ask the merfolk themselves.

This information I present to you all on Fury merfolk is not easily accessible.

You will not likely find it in books or online or even from many teachers.
