Shaping up very well, as they always do under Ryan Petrick, and despite losing players, uh, he always builds a roster that's going to be more than competitive and especially entertaining and, and that's the case.
You mentioned in your intro, um, a few players have gone out, so Chinese import Han Xu's gone to Geelong, uh, Amy Atwell to Canberra, and Ally Wilson to Sydney.
But they had a bit of, a bit of bad luck, so they signed Sami Whitcomb to return her to her, her original WNBL club, and then she withdrew when she withdrew from the Opals' World Cup campaign as she, uh, manages an ongoing knee issue.
And they were able to replace her with an Australian young star in Georgia Amoe, who's been playing, uh, in America in, in the WNBA this season with the Mystics, but she had a spectacular college career.
She's as an exciting point guard as you'll come across, and she's got the keys to the Lynx, and, um, the, the capabilities of her is, is really limitless this season.
She played for, uh, Southside last year and was terrific, and Ryan, um, spoke to him today, and he just couldn't, um, rave more about the preseason that Peters has had and, and what she's already added to the group.
Um, and then they've retained some pie- some really important pieces like Annalise Maley.
Crazy to think that we've talked about all these players and not mentioned Maley.
So she's come off a season with New York, Alex Cubitoni, who was great last year, and Steph Gorman, who's healthy.
