The Buds Are Back

Jumping all the way back to, what is it, March 30th.

And this was sort of the beginning of the end for the season, or at least that was last year.

March 30th, Bradshaw Living is fired.

We all saw it coming.

Anything really to say here? Do we have any parting thoughts about the Bradshaw Living era in Toronto?

I thought it started off...

Well, with the Bradshaw living era in Toronto, I thought he did make some good acquisitions at the time in the first like playoff run that we had with Florida in the second round.

So I thought it did start off very well.

And then obviously there were some things that not many people agreed with.

But yeah, in short, I think it started off very well.

And then after that, it just it just went downhill from there.

Yeah, I don't know.

Like, I had a lot of reservations about this guy when we first got him.

I think I looked back, and he was the guy behind the Hubert O. Kachuk trade.

And I remember looking back and being like, well, you know what? Maybe he'll get over it.

And then, I don't know.

Just a lot of picking up rentals, a lot of spending too much.

You know, there's a lot of... different things here that are not great.

Um, especially, I think the biggest one is Brandon Carlo for Fraser Minton and a first round pick and a fourth round pick looks absolutely brutal though.

I will say it caused us to get Gavin McKenna.

So I will say great, but at the same time, that's, that's a really bad trade.

So yeah, I don't know.

Just not a, not a great era in lease hockey, to be honest.

Yeah, I think, and I mean, you look at the Kachuk-Huberto swap as part of Bradshaw Living's kind of Rolodex of moves.

I think when he makes his moves at the time, they look good on paper, but they age like milk.
