But yeah, truckies have been targeted in a blitz on the Hume Highway near Yass, uh, because we're, you know, always being targeted.
That's right.
Uh, because, you know, we're all bad guys out here driving around in trucks.
[clears throat]
New South Wales police said Operation Fume ran at the Mundoonan rest area in the northbound lanes at Jerrabomberra, which is 20 k's north of Yass, from about 11 on Wednesday, uh, on the 12th until 3:00 a.m. on Thursday the 13th.
They established a high-visibility stationary roadside breath and drug test site, with all northbound traffic on the Hume Highway being diverted through the rest area.
So, you know, if you wanted to pull up for a rest at Mundoonan, screw you, because you couldn't do it.
Um, throughout the operation, there were 81 roadside dru- drug tests conducted, with six positive tests detected.
And they carried out 369 breath tests, with one drink driving offense detected, 16 infringement notices, and one defect notice, 49 heavy vehicle compliance checks.
Oh, we do.
Um, you know, and I've seen it of late, there was, uh, stuff about a recent fatigue blitz up and down the East Coast as well.
Um, data that they released today, I seen there on social media.
And, um, I've, I've noticed of late that the NHVR's post when they release data, or in quotation marks, "data"-
... about a, about a blitz or a situation or whatever they're doing, that they, they always try and make the numbers sound a lot more bigger-
... than what they are.
Like, they always, they always say, "Oh, 1 in 10 trucks we stopped had a breach of whatever thing." And it's like, well, okay, so 90% of trucks you stopped in that blitz were compliant.
How about that?
Yep.
