In just a few moments, we'll talk Major League Baseball.

And should the owner say, hey, you know what? I don't think we need the salary cap after all.

I mean, look, the Brewers and the Rays in the World Series final.

The Guardians were in the final four.

Who needs a salary cap? But just really quick, Jacob Fowler.

He's had a really nice stretch since Nick Suzuki went down.

The Canadians are like, oh, what's going to happen now? We're going to suck.

We're going to lose a bunch of games.

We're going to hand on to a two-goal lead no matter what.

How hard did we try in the three-game stretch, including the last game against the Illinois Blues, where he made 46 saves? He has stopped 99 of 101 shots.

His save percentage is 98%.

His goals against is .67. and his goals saved above expected is at 8.

Through seven games this season, 6-1, a 9.42 save percentage, 1.54 goals against, and a 10 goals saved above expected.

I think anybody that's watched Jacob Fowler isn't entirely surprised by his performance.

Someone who is fundamentally sound, square of the puck, also has that personality that lends itself to success as a goaltender.

That's someone who is even-keeled, who is focused, not too high, not too low.

I know when I say that, you're like, hashtag...

Dobesh.

Dobesh is a little bit different, highly emotional.

His style of play reflects his personality kind of up and down, right? Someone who doesn't engage in much in the economy of movement in the crease.

Now, when the Montreal Canadiens goaltending coach gets his hands on him, it seems to quiet him down.

In his last game that he lost, he was a lot quieter in the crease.

But there is a fundamental difference between Dobesh and Fowler.

Dobesh is someone you see perhaps as a stopgap sign to a three-year deal.

It's a good deal for him.
