Wizards 2026 NBA Draft special

But guys, first of all, just your initial reaction.

AJ Dabonsa is gonna be a Washington Wizard.

How does that sound?

Uh, it sounds like a perfect fit.

You know, when you, when you look back at his career, he's a guy that can do a little bit of everything.

I mean, uh, he's plug and play.

He's ready to go from the word go, Tony.

Yeah, and I like the fact that he's a guy who you don't have to make him go to the gym.

You probably have to pull him out of the gym.

[laughs]

He's one of those type guys, a real gym rat, someone who's ultra-talented just naturally, but he also has that aptitude to know that he needs to get better, and he knows he wants to work on his game and be the best version of himself.

Now, we're gonna cover this from all different angles.

I'm gonna give you a bunch of stats.

We're gonna talk about his measurements at the combine.

We're gonna hear from a lot of people, Michael Winger, John Wall, AJ Dabonsa, as I mentioned.

But why don't we start with just a simple look at his-

Yeah

... biggest strengths.

What stands out most to you?

Uh, uh, first of all, physically, he's ready to play, and he's ready to play right away, you know, hi- his body, his frame.

What I'm most excited about also is he's a tall 6'8" and a half.

A lot of guys, you look at them and you think that they are may- maybe 6'8", but closer to 6'7" and a half.

Uh-huh.

He's a 6'8" and a half that's closer to 6'10", so he's physically ready to play.

And he's one of those guys that you don't have to run plays for.
