Late on Wednesday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2028 second round pick.

Like this Porter deal, obviously, George Pickens, Broderick Jones, all in the last year or so.

So Joey Porter Jr., coming off of a really solid year, currently in the last year of his contract.

So this trade was really built off the fact that Porter has been holding out all summer.

He feels like the Steelers will not pay him the money he deserves on a new contract, right? Porter hasn't actually played a single game this year because he was demanding that contract.

And now he's got a new front office who could potentially give it to him later.

We don't know what his contract is going to look like, but you have to assume that one is coming very soon.

You wouldn't make a trade like this and give up a second-round pick if you didn't think you could make a contract extension happen pretty soon.

So it seems like the Cowboys will be paying Joey Porter Jr., and they could really use it because their defense has been struggling for years at this point.

Joey Porter Jr. is going to step right into that secondary and be probably their cornerback one immediately.

The Niners are going to match up with Joey Porter Jr. and the Dallas Cowboys this season in Week 10.

So I'm sure we'll see Joey Porter lined up against the Niners' top receiver in that game.

Would you have given up a 20-28 second round pick for Joey Porter though? That's my question to you.

And how much money would you pay him on his next contract? Let me know down below.

We still don't have the details of that contract, but I assume it's going to be plenty of money.

I don't think he's quite that caliber of player, but a very good player regardless.

So let me know down below what your thoughts are on the whole Joey Porter Jr. situation.
