Jeff Lippman, a lawyer who hosts the Garden of Doom podcast, tells the host how his show began and where he stands on cryptozoology and alien life. The conversation then turns personal, as each of…
Well then, since you're not the researcher, then what do you think about, like, give me your breakdown on, okay, like, let's just, what do you think about cryptozoology? Like, what do you, do you really think Bigfoot's a thing? Like, do you really think like, what about Mothman and Chupacabras or what's your take on cryptozoology? Pterodactyls.
I think it's sort of dangerous to paint anything with a broad brush, but I don't know how else for you to, you know, paint that question.
I think that I definitely am open to that there's things that we haven't found out there on this earth, especially in the oceans, especially in the Amazon and some of the deeper jungles and possibly other places as well.
I do think most of them are sort of collective memories, you know, things that we that our ancestors brought from different parts of the world and sort of shared with each other.
And just like a game of postman, some things grew and some things stuck with us.
And, you know, we sort of venerate oral history a little bit more than we venerate written history these days.
So I think maybe we put a little bit more, more into that, but I'm very open to the idea of being wrong.
I, you know, I'm just waiting for more of the physical evidence as to what it is.
I mean, I think a lot of it is what most people think is, you know, some of our, you know, ancestors found dinosaur bones and pterodactyl bones and, you know, things like that.
And, you know, or remember some of the mega fauna, some of which, you know, died off not as, Long ago, some of us think, for instance, the Oryx.
There were sightings of the Oryx just about 150 years ago, which is a giant bull, a giant, you know, feral cow.
Yeah, I mean, like, I, well, particularly with Bigfoot, I think that we are also dealing with, and that's the thing, is, like, I've seen some weird stuff, so I'm pretty sure we're dealing with, like, interdimensional beings or stuff that can appear and disappear like in front of your eyes.
Or even if that is like a, um, egregore or like a thought form that, uh, has some sort of way of appearing in our reality or not.
I mean, I'm not even a hundred percent sure what reality really is at this point.
Um, so I don't know like where, where I put all that in there, but yeah, it's, it's one of those things where there's enough people that have had enough strange sightings that to dismiss all of it is, you know, as just nothing is, it just doesn't work for me.
