Sean and I are very excited for our guest today, Mr. Avi Schroen of Camabee's Management.

I don't know if you thought about this, but we started this podcast, whatever, like two years ago.

So we're really grateful and excited to talk to you about the history of the family business that started in the late 60s by your father, Ruby, and you entered the business in the early 90s.

So we're going to talk to you a little bit about what your experience was like starting in the early 90s, the change of the rent laws.

But we'd like to hear from you about what post-HSTPA, some of the impacts on this rent freeze, on the tenants, the business, et cetera, downstream consequences, what you guys have been doing either inside or outside New York over the last handful of years.

And I know you're a little bit of a techie, so I want to hear more about some side projects that you're working on.

It's something that I think about all the time, speak to other people about it all the time, and it's a big topic and it really needs to be addressed.

And I feel having an insider's view of what really happens in buildings and how HSTPA and the laws affect both landlords and tenants.

And it's important for the public to hear that not always is something that is packaged to be something that's super special and super great.

And I think we're seeing today that when they passed HSTP in 2019, they didn't really foresee everything that could happen.
