Episode 3: Jon Moss

Well, it's funny, because Ryan in Hartford asks, how many bands have you been in, John? Of those, which was your favourite? I

mean, Culture Cubs was great, you know, and then it wasn't.

I mean, I really like our band.

I really like Ridiculous, because we can do what you like.

Yeah, we are a fun band, yeah.

I think it's a great band, yeah.

It's generally good.

I can sit there and feel happy.

You know, there's something about when you, especially when you're young, when you're in a band, you've got to really...

When you play, you've got to think, yeah, you know, we're really on top of this and really think you're great and have the confidence to do that.

I played in a few

bands and thought, actually, this is shit, you know, I don't want to do it anymore.

So I've noticed you're actually, the whole kind of fan thing, which the book, Name Drop Me Never, it does go into that whole dynamic of being famous and what it is to be famous and that kind of awkwardness that you get sometimes with people in the street.

But I've noticed with you, you're actually really good at when you meet someone, because you get stopped in the street all the time when we're walking about.

And sometimes just

yesterday, someone was, oh, hi, you know, held onto your arm or whatever.

Well, you get very few of them because we've lived in Hampstead all our lives.

I've lived in Hampstead 68 years or something.

And it's always been very relaxed.

I remember a friend of mine, he was a brilliant engineer, this guy, about 10 years ago.

He came up to Hampstead.

What was his name? Biffy or something.

I can't remember the name.

He was a lovely bloke.

But anyway, he came up and I said, we're going to have a coffee first.
