In this episode I discuss WWE’s views on Ilja Dragunov, is Swerve being fumbled by AEW? Can MLW be the next big wrestling company, Turmoil in TNA & more! Timestamps 00:00Intro 01:08: Is This The…
Now look, my allergies might be causing me a whole bunch of issues right now.
My eyes might not be as wide open as they normally would be, but what I can tell you is, though, I can still see all the bull that's going on over at TNA.
It is an absolute joke right now, what is happening in that company.
You have wrestlers leaving left and right.
You almost lost Trey Miguel, but you didn't end up losing him because, well, AEW just didn't wanna sign him, and Myron Reed.
So that is three wrestlers you lost.
Then you lost Joe Hendry, Jordynne Grace, Jake Something, Josh Alexander, Mily Grace, uh, Speedball Mike Bailey, Alan Angels, someone that was potentially gonna be signing there but just ended up not doing it, same thing as Jake Something too, by the way, Mance Warner, Steph De Lander, and as of recently, Steve Maclin, after you were gonna, like, fire the guy, then ran a whole storyline about why he was untouchable with, uh, Sonya Deville, I forgot, I think it's like Daria Ray or something like that.
And, um, now he's leaving after calling, uh, uh, Carlos Silva a cuck, or well, telling him to sit in the cuck chair.
That's not a good look, by the way.
There's no way that a wrestler in your company should be telling the booker to go sit in the cuck chair.
We as fans, we can point out the obvious, but I don't think wrestlers should be saying that.
It kind of goes back to my whole Pat McAfee conversation that I was saying about Cody Rhodes, and saying that, you know, he's the reason why ratings are down, and with the way that he looks, that he's just not looking like a top guy, all that stuff.
Like, there's certain things that need to just be kept on the internet and really shouldn't be brought into storylines.
That's one of those right there.
But with all those wrestlers they have lost, they're likely also gonna be losing Mike Santana and Leon Slater as well.
And look it, I've heard people try to say that, "Oh, well you know, wrestlers, they leave companies all the time." That's not the most true, okay? The only time you see wrestlers leaving a company is, especially like, like a large influx of wrestlers leaving a company, is usually when the company's not looking that great.
So like when Shinsuke and AJ and a few others done left New Japan around like 2014, 2015, I think Finn Bálor was a part of that group as well, you started to see a lot of bad in New Japan.
Holding on to Tanahashi way too much, not allowing Okada to be the guy, not allowing Shinsuke to be the guy, not allowing the, bas- like, like, uh, anybody else to kind of get over to the top.
Like, you've seen that so, so much.
With other companies, though, like WWE, AEW, over these past seven years, and I'm only using, like, seven years, 'cause that's when AEW was, like, you know, created in 2019, you have seen more wrestlers willingly leave TNA than you have seen them leave WWE and AEW combined over the past seven years, not just one or the other, combined over the past seven years.
That is not a good thing by any means.
We already all say that TNA looks like an absolute joke, and stuff like this just really starts to push it to you that, like, yeah, the company is a joke, and there's probably a lot of wrestlers that are also looking at it like a joke.
Like, this is atrocious.
