In this episode I preview Forbidden Door & Night of Champions while also discussing whether or not Dion & Saquon can be the next big things from NXT & my take on how WWE should handle call ups…
Um, I'm not really that much into NXT these days, outside of, like, Saquan Sugar and Dion Lennox and Izzi Dame, so I don't really care to talk too much NXT.
I don't really watch NXT like that.
But you know what, though, because my guys Dion and, and Saquan are gonna be going up at Great American Bash, I do wanna talk about that because I am very, very invested into their whole entire storyline.
I'm very invested into them as wrestlers as well.
So I do wanna just talk about them for a minute, because I think that these are two guys that WWE, I hope, has a lot of investment in going forward.
I hope that it is both of them, because I think that their rivalry can expand upon just NXT and eventually take place on the main roster as well.
But I also hope that WWE doesn't give up on Dark State, because I think that Dark State could still work.
I think that Dark State just needs a lot more of a reason to, you know, get behind, and I think Saquan and Dion's feud can really be that, because I think that these guys can feud for, like, I don't know about the rest of this year by any means, but at least for, like, the next few months.
You have them have their three matches, get everything out with each other, then go their separate ways.
Allow Cutler James and Osiris Griffin to then go down to Evolve, where I think that they can still pick up a whole lot more skills that they don't really have right now.
I think that they are lacking in a lot of areas, although their mic work and their ring work has gotten better.
It's just, I don't think it's at NXT level yet, and I feel like they were only really brought up with Dion and Saquan because they could've been potentially, like, you know, just covered up.
Like, like, like all of their potential flaws and all that stuff would've just been, like, not as noticeable because of how great Saquan and Dion are.
But I think right now, because it's just gonna really be Dion, I think that that's, both Osiris and Cutler should really go down to Evolve.
I don't think that Dion really even needs to be around these two guys.
I think that he really needs to just go on his own, allow both him and Saquan to have similar careers in a sense.
One gets a North American title, one gets a NXT title, one gets a NXT title, one gets a North American title.
Something like that, and then I think having them eventually meet up at for, n- I about said, about said Forbidden Door.
Having them meet up at, uh, Stand & Deliver, not this year, next year, so allow them to also be in NXT for an entire year, because they don't...
Or, well, an entire two-year, I guess now it would be, what, three years, which is fine.
Saquan's 25, 26.
Dion is, like, 26 to 28, somewhere around there.
Allow these guys to be able to grow in NXT, be able to build themselves up, and then eventually have another big match in about, like, a year or two at, uh, Stand & Deliver, where it's more so a, "We've come this far.
Let's see who truly is better.
Let's see who was truly able to grow over these past two years to become the best version of themself." Kind of akin to, like, a Naruto and Sasuke, how they were at the, at the end of Naruto.
