Were they dead? Because recently at the box office, we've seen such lacklustre performances from likes of Supergirl and Superman.
Even the attempt at Masters of the Universe didn't go so well at the box office.
That film has continued to smash box office records since we last spoke last week.
It has surpassed 500 million in North America alone in just its seven days.
Isn't that unbelievable for a week of release? And it was made for 225 million.
No doubt it cost a lot to put it out as well, but it seems that they're already in profit and more to come.
So good job, Sony, and a really good job to audiences who have shown up for Spider-Man.
Yeah, because Kit Conner looks set to be the next actor to join the sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The rising star best known for the TV series Heartstopper has been eyed to play Cyclops in Disney and Marvel's upcoming Xbox reboot.
Cyclops, whose government name is Scott Summers, hones his powers through powerful beams of energy from his eyes.
Should this deal close, Conner will appear alongside Samara Weaving, who was recently announced in the film as Emma Frost, Sadie Sink is also going to star.
And Bill Skarsgård actually is rumoured now for the role of Charles Xavier in the movie as well.
So this is going to be the first standalone X-Men movie since 21st Century Fox was acquired by Disney back in 2019.
Now we're back to box office numbers and a film that maybe we didn't think would do so well, but did.
