Don't Say Good Luck

So I'm going to give that one a 4 out of 10 for me, maybe a 5 out of 10 on the public scale, and I say it's just one to skip.

one to watch is going to be Don't Say Good Luck.

If you are friends with me on Instagram, like my personal Instagram, you will have seen me sobbing my eyes out doing a really funny video, blaming my friend Taylor for having me watch this fantastic film.

Go watch this movie.

Not for everybody, but basically you have this girl and her brother is on hospice.

He's dying.

He's like a teenager and you literally just like enter the story as he is admitted to hospice and you have her and her mom and then she befriends Woody Harrelson's character and um and it's just one of those where you go in for just a short amount of time you see this grief and this like heartache that's going on and uh you know how they're dealing with it and then it ends uh without like any big resolution for you but I find that to be really beautiful and a great way to do storytelling so I really enjoyed it uh this that movie and don't say good luck The ending of Don't Say Good Luck had me in full sobs.

Like, actual, real tears.

Good luck with that.

So she did My Oxford Year, Roommates, and Don't Say Good Luck.

Have you seen any of those? No.

Have you ever heard of those movies? No.

But let's just, if you want, I can do a, a clean cut, 4869.

I'm gonna review a movie called Don't Say Good Luck.

It's on Netflix, and it stars Adam Sandler's daughter.

And I love talking about nepo babies and nepo executives and nepo actors.

Guess what? You don't get to be a nepo blank and stay in the door if you're not good at what you do.

Is Adam Sandler good? We'll talk about it tomorrow.

It's called Don't Say Good Luck.

I did get a lot of action yesterday, Coca.

Uh, actually, I think it may have even been a September release.

Uh, Don't Say Good Luck on Netflix.

Hmm.

It's a coming-of-age movie, uh, starring Sunny Sandler, who is one of Adam Sandler's daughters, and it's produced by Happy Madison.

Yeah, I enjoyed that a lot.

That is, uh...

That's on Netflix, Don't Say Good Luck.

Since we're talking about what's on Netflix, I will go with the heartwarming film I Swear.

yes netflix for that one

great and then netflix for this other one yeah don't say good luck Yeah.

Did you like this movie?

I did like this movie.

She'll be great.

She'll be great.

Um, yeah, that's called don't say good luck.

Yeah.

I was quite moved by it.

And if you love these kind of music, teenage musical coming of age movies, I think you will really like don't say good luck on Netflix.

So also seems like just like a great cast to hang out with.

Absolutely.

I don't think there's actually a single movie I've watched in the month of September besides for our podcast.

I did watch... two towards the end of august which were both kind of similar both stream movies don't say good luck on netflix and she dances which was in theaters but then went to peacock i believe and i like them both they're kind of similar a high school kid with some family trauma you know one is set in the world of musical theater one in dance but i they are both really good i actually like she dances a little more than don't say good luck I thought Steve Zahn and his daughter, his real-life daughter, who was at the start of it, were both really strong in that.

And it's got Ethan Hawke, and I love Ethan

Hawke.

I started Don't Say Good Luck on an airplane when we were flying to Orlando.

I got through 15 minutes and was like, I need to stop because Amanda needs to watch this with me.

It's good.
