Protect Your Home’s Value, Manage Roommate Finances and Advance Your Career

Owning a home is a lot.

It's a lot of responsibility.

It can be a lot of stress.

There can be a lot of costs.

And we tend to focus on, you know, the mortgage payment and the property taxes.

But there's a lot that goes into maintaining a home, both inside and out.

And today we're gonna talk about the out, the outside stuff.

Our guest is Carson Arthur.

He is an outdoor gardening expert, design, lifestyle expert.

He's been on TV for years.

He's got this amazing store in Prince Edward County in Ontario.

And he joins us now to talk about maintenance.

Hello there.

Hey, how are you strangers? Good to see you.

I am well.

It has been a minute.

It has been a minute.

This is a, maintenance is a total block for me.

I am of the view that, you know, things like the common cold, they'll just fix themselves.

So an air conditioning unit or a leak, if I just don't pay attention to it for long enough, it'll fix itself.

I have learned the hard way that this is not true.

So I'm trying to be better on being proactive in maintenance, but give us the big picture here.

When it comes to the outdoors, what are the big things people need to be thinking about?

Well, people often don't really think about the outdoors, especially when it comes to the property value itself.

When somebody comes in to see your house for the very first time, they don't see your kitchen.
