"Damn Yankees" returns to Broadway!

We all paused for a hot second.

You know, I grew up in Utah, so there was the buzz.

That was my baseball team, and I just remember that growing up.

But this is a new venture for me, learning about baseball in a whole new way.

And so I'm pumped to learn all of the terminology, get on the field, anything and everything that we can do to learn.

We're learning.

I'm from Albuquerque, New Mexico, which had a farm team, the Albuquerque Dukes, which are now called the Albuquerque Isotopes.

And so we didn't really have a team that we supported all the time.

They were a farm team for the Dodgers.

So we sort of were like Team Dodger, kind of.

But Austin's got the big role.

He's playing like big Joe Hardy.

So no, you're going to have to live it.

We're just like the ones trying to lure you into the dark side.

Yeah.

No, I mean, yeah, and I grew up in the Bay Area, California, so I knew enough to know that I wanted to be an A's fan and not a Giants fan.

But beyond that, beyond that, that's about all I had.

So I was like, you know, I guess playing a baseball player is a good enough reason to learn baseball, right?

And certainly good memories of the Aves, obviously the Bash brothers, and now in Sacramento and eventually moving to Las Vegas.

I love the, shout out to the isotopes, Neil.

Absolutely, all the Albuquerque fans love their minor league baseball.

Neil, for you, the special announcement made at Yankee Stadium, what was it like being at a location so central to damn Yankees?

Yankee Stadium is fantastic.

This is the first Broadway collaboration with MLB.

So they're a partner within the musical.
