In 2002, Sabrina, who went by Bree, lived in Erie, Pennsylvania with her mom, Susan, who was our guest in episode 33.

Sabrina was also very close with her father, Richard, who also lived in Erie.

The family describes Sabrina as developmentally delayed with the medical faculties of a 14-year-old.

Nonetheless, Sabrina was an adult, and she had a boyfriend, Chris Lee, who had moved in with her and her mom at 1203 East 3rd Street in May.

Sabrina was last seen on the morning of Monday, June 24, 2002, outside her home.

She was home alone that morning, with her mom at work and Chris at an appointment.

A neighbor saw Sabrina get into a 1991 Chevy Blazer, plate number ELX2497, driven by a David Sherman Lee Heck, age 26. of the 9,000 block of Middle Road in Lake City.

David was a distant cousin of Sabrina's boyfriend Chris, and Sabrina knew him.

Susan had spoken with Sabrina on the phone around 11 before Sabrina left the house with David Heck.

When Chris got home, he could not find Sabrina anywhere, but she had left a note saying she was going swimming with David Heck and would be home at 4.

It would not have been unusual for Sabrina to go swimming with David and his girlfriend, so Chris didn't worry until she didn't come home.

By then, Sabrina's parents were worried too, and they reported her missing two days later on June 26th.

According to the neighbor who had seen her, Sabrina was last seen wearing a two-piece bathing suit, blue shorts with a pink or orange top, and blue and white sneakers.

Erie police interviewed David Heck by phone, as he would not meet with them in person and they couldn't locate him.

On the phone, he reported that he picked up Sabrina and the two went to a convenience store and bought soda and two Kit Kats.

Then they went swimming, and afterwards, Sabrina wanted to see the movie Lilo and Stitch.

David had told Sabrina's family the same thing when he stopped by their house on Tuesday before Sabrina was reported missing.

He spoke with Chris and said the day before they went swimming and then he dropped Sabrina off at the movies and gave her $10 cash for a taxi home.
