It's been a great career with Edward Jones.

It was a good experience being

in the Indiana Senate.

impressive.

Well, it was an honor, no question about it.

And I always looked at you as being a very solid member, working hard committee, working hard on the floor.

And I'm sure it's...

It's bittersweet to have served your last session.

The Senate is a different place than when I left it in 2020.

I think social media, I think there are a lot of forces that are aimed at the members these days that, fair or not, it's a part of representing 130,000 people.

And yet it's communication and making sure that everybody knows where you stand and you learn where people stand.

You bet.

And how do you, what do you believe that you will miss the most in the body?

Yeah, you know, that's probably the most, I guess it probably has to do with just the personal interactions.

as I'm sure you experienced, you became good friends with some of your fellow senators.

Sure.

And although we'll keep in contact with each other, it'll be different.

We won't see each other as often.

We won't have the chance to work together like we did in the Senate.

So there'll be a handful of state senators, especially, that I will miss.

And then also, probably one of my favorite things about being a state senator, and I think you'd probably agree with this, were the constituent issues.

The constituents had a challenge with, whether it's the local government or state government, or even the federal government we try to guide them in the right direction we try to help them get the answers they needed to solve their problem the hurdles they were trying to get over you know we'll miss being involved with people's lives in that manner and believe it or not we'll miss some of the They call them, sometimes they call them third houses.
