Zion, hear me! For Season 2 of the Mere Morpheus podcast I'm going to be uploading the Morpheus builder weekly updates. My reason for doing this is to make it more accessible for those who want an…
Would you say that-- What percentage of the conference would you say is, like, AI or AI adjacent at this point, just in terms of, like, topics covered?
A lot of it, right? If you've seen a bunch of the quotes posted on X, everybody has woken up that agents might be the future of payments and crypto and whatever they're doing.
Um, you know, it's definitely a marked difference.
Like, people would say AI a year or two ago, and now they all say agents.
Like, they've learned the difference between an AI model and having an agent that takes action for you.
So, you know, every other person is talking about agents, which is cool validation, right? Morpheus has been building this last three years, and it's been cool all week to show off this graph on my phone where it's like, and here you can see Morpheus doubling in usage almost every month on the peer-to-peer map-- network, right? So that's been a lot of fun.
People are like, "Ooh, that's a nice graph of real usage growing over time." So if you set it to peer to peer, and you go, now I've got the numbers all the way through, uh, end of September.
So you can pick, uh, pick the dates for end of September, and it's like boom, boom, boom, boom.
Right? So it's, uh, it's nice, right? Um, it takes a while to get to product market fit, but that's a nice trend, right? You can see it's us privacy nerds and people that care about the industry up until like June, July.
And then when the open weight models get good enough that they're really competing with Claude, that's when you see this explosion of usage.
So yeah, that's been an easy story for people to get, and so they're like, "Yeah, I want that.
It's been nonstop for three, four days.
Yeah, I mean, this is the prettiest chart in crypto, um, just without a doubt.
At least-- Oh, sorry, I should say, I, I refer to crypto often when I really mean decentralized AI because my brain is broken and they're just inextricably tied in my head.
And from my perspective, again, as somebody who was like a crypto native person who saw the light and became a decentralized AI native person, realizing that crypto is just a, a means to an end [laughs] for, for agents and for agentic payments, um, that, that is why that connection is just like inextricably in my brain.
However, this is the prettiest chart in decentralized AI.
It is absolutely beautiful.
It paints an awesome story.
And yeah, I mean, without a doubt, the more people who continue to use agentic AI at all, the more models that continue to compete with the frontier models and will eventually inevitably eclipse them once you have, you know, self-recursive improvements and things like this, the more people will realize there is a better way financially to have access to all of these things.
Oh, by the way, privacy.
Oh, by the way, self-sovereignty.
Oh, by the way, permissionlessness.
Um, and, uh, and, and we'll continue to grow and, and we'll see that demand continue and more and more compute providers come online.
Um, which by the way, let's just take a look at that too while we're at it.
