So today I really want to speak to you who have been thinking about starting strength training and you're like, ah, one of the ways that I try to make this really, really easy for women to get started with is having an at-home program and also having the option of training just two times a week.
But you still may wonder, oh my gosh, but I probably need all kinds of stuff at home.
So I want to go over what you really need and also how to choose your dumbbells because that is a really important piece here.
I've been, I was like the cardio queen going to all kinds of classes at my gym, doing body pump.
But strength training, I hadn't done since college, or actually, that's not fair, since before my first child was born.
So I started in my basement and my basement bedroom is not big and there's not much space around the bed.
There is exactly enough room to like lay down a yoga mat and And have a little bit of a space on the sides because, of course, if you're lying down on a yoga mat and, for example, in a push-up position or whatever, your elbows are going to go a little bit off the mat.
So what is a yoga mat long? And then, luckily, I have this bench in my bedroom where...
So they bought it there and they brought it back and I haven't wanted to keep it outside in the rain.
So it's downstairs in my bedroom and it's this huge wooden bench that's very sturdy.
And then I had some dumbbells that had been gathering dust under my bed.
A friend of mine had moved out of town years and years before, like before I even had kids.
That's how long, that's how long those dumbbells have been gathering dust.
